BACKGROUND: Philippines Ablaze is semi-historical simulation of the United States war in the Philippines to put down the insurrection of General Aguinaldo. The Game begins shortly after the Insurrectionist Leader, General Emilio Aguinaldo, declares independence from the United States controlled government of the Philippines.
OBJECTIVE: Player takes command of the United States Forces in the Philippines. The Player’s Objective is to attempt to capture four of the five Key Insurrecto Controlled Settlements (San Fernando, Tuao, San Jose, Puerto Galera, Cagayan) before the last Campaign Card is played, the Insurrectionists Win.
GAME FEATURES: The game features a fun and simplistic method for resolving solitaire combat tactically, rules for Heroes that can make an impact on the outcome of battles, and lots of colorful game counters.
